1. prescribe /prɪ'skraɪb/
v.开药、处方;
e.g. I hoped he would prescribe some stronger pain killers
注：pain killer 止疼药
n. prescription 处方
常见搭配：give/ write sb a prescription 开处方
e.g. This medicine is only available on prescription/ prescribed. 出具处方才能获得该药物。
听力真题 3-1-2：When the doctor sees you, he gives you a prescription. He writes what medication you need on it and you take it to a chemist’s shop.
注：chemist’s shop 或者 chemist’s 药店
药店的处方药：Prescription Drug
非处方药：Non-prescription Drug or Over-the-counter Drug (药盒上常见的OTC )
2. medical
adj.医疗的;医学的
e.g. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. 如果症状持续，需要就医。
e.g. Your medical insurance should cover the cost of the treatment. 您的医疗保险应该承担治疗的费用。
注：cover 承担…费用
n. 体检;体格检查
e.g. All candidates must undergo a medical before being accepted on the scheme. 所有候选人在被录用之前都应该进行体检。

3. infect
v. 传染;侵染;感染
搭配：be infected with… by someone.
e.g. The man has been infected with cholera.
注：cholera 霍乱
n. infection
e.g. Antibiotics are used to treat the infection.
注：antibiotic 抗生素
e.g. You need to dress the wound immediately to prevent infection.
注：dress 清洗,包扎,敷裹(伤口)

和上期的contagious 意思接近，既可以指情绪上的感染力，也可以指传染性的疾病。
e.g. She has an infectious/ contagious laugh.
e.g. It's a highly contagious/ infectious virus.

angry 红肿疼痛的
e.g. On her leg was an angry sore.
注：Sore: (身体的)伤处，痛处，疮
Canker sore 口腔溃疡
upset n. 肠胃不适
e.g. Spicy foods can cause stomach upset.
irritated adj. 发炎的;疼痛的
e.g. This lotion can Relax and smooth extremely dry, sensitive and irritated skin. 这款乳液能有效缓和极为干燥，敏感和发炎的皮肤。
