　　The two bar charts compare the average weekly rents for houses and apartments in Sydney, Hobart, Darwin and Perth in 2016 and 2017.Overall, average rents rose in nearly all categories, with house rents showing more pronounced increases than apartment rents. Sydney was generally the most expensive city, although Darwin caught up with it for houses in 2017.
