　　1. tour /tʊə/

　　n. 巡回访问;巡回演出;巡回比赛

　　剑桥听力11-4-3：They well highly regarded in the music world and they have done quite extensive tours in different continents.

　　短语：on tour 在巡回活动(或演出、比赛)中

　　e.g. The newly established band faced many challenges on tour, including long hours and tight schedules struggling to make ends meet.

　　补充：make ends meet 保持收支平衡

　　v. 作巡回活动(或演出、比赛)

　　e.g. Jay Chou, a household name in China, has been touring for several months this year, performing over 10 sold-out shows.

　　2. ovation /ə(ʊ)'veɪʃ(ə)n/

　　n. 热烈鼓掌;欢呼;喝彩

　　常见搭配：a standing ovation 站起来鼓掌

　　thunderous/ long ovation 雷鸣般的;持久的掌声。

　　e.g. He was greeted with a standing ovation when coming out onto the stage.

　　e.g. He has stolen the show with his fantastic performance, earning a thunderous ovation from the audience.

　　3. auditorium /ɔːdɪ'tɔːrɪəm/

　　n. 观众席;听众席

　　n. (应观众要求的)加唱，加演

　　e.g. They performed another two songs as encores.

　　e.g. After the final song, Gem returned to the stage for an encore performance, which was thrilling and left me reflecting on the exhilarating atmosphere the long after the concert ended.
