托福考试作为一门语言性考试，考的就是大家对于语言的掌握能力。
如果你的写作当中通篇都是小错误，你确定考官能给你高分嘛?

下面的例子均来自学员的写作批改。
01
动词缺失
1. And soft vegetation usually near water.
Tom同学
柔软的植物通常在水边，读起来没毛病呀？
新航道
再仔细看看，这句话有谓语动词嘛？一句话当中一定要有谓语动词哒。
正确表达：Moreover, soft vegetation isusually near water.
2.There is nothing can distract us from the work.
Tom同学
没有什么可以让我们从工作中分心，谓语动词有，读起来貌似也没有问题呀？
新航道
谓语动词的确有了，但是你数数出现了几个谓语动词呀？一句话当中只能出现一个谓语动词呦。
正确表达：There is nothing which can distract us from the work.
简洁表达：There is nothing distracting us from work.

连词缺失
1. The professor presents that elephants do not really have a fear of mice, they just are unfamiliar with mice.
Tom同学
这读起来也没什么毛病呀，两个句子两个谓语，不多也不少呀。
新航道
这里真的是两个句子嘛？注意中间是用逗号连接的。逗号前后不能连接两个句子，必须要加上连词才可以。
正确表达1：The professor presents that elephants do not really have a fear of mice; instead/rather, they just are unfamiliar with mice.（关于instead和rather的用法，大家可以参考Rather真不取反；instead，它取同 )
正确表达2：The professor presents that elephants backed away from the mice not because elephants have a fear of mice, but because elephants are unfamiliar with mice. （not A but B，不是A而是B）
2. While the professor thinks these beliefs are misunderstandings.
Tom同学
尽管教授觉得这些想法都是误解。咦？这句子写完了？

哈哈，你也发现问题啦。while作为连词连接一个句子，使得这句话缺少了主句呀。
正确表达：However, the professor thinks these beliefs are misunderstandings.
（温馨提示：连词不一定非要在句子中间呦，例如while,although都在开头。）
03
主谓不一致
1. That is the reason why they get off their herds and looks like so lonely.
Tom同学
emmm这句话，两个动词（get off和looks）中间有and连接，其他也看不出来有什么问题呀？
新航道
注意and后面looks的主语是they，因此looks不应加s。

这种错误不易发现，但出错频率是最 高的。同学把句子写长了以后很容易断片，就忘记谓语所对应的主语是谁了。
正确表达：That is the reason why they get off their herds and look like so lonely.

中文式表达
1. If my learning efficiency is not good, why I can’t exercise instead.
Tom同学
如果我学习效率不高，为什么我不去锻炼呢？em...这句话读起来能理解，但是总感觉哪里怪怪的。
新航道
这就是典型的中文式表达，完全按照中文语序去翻译，这样子考官是肯定看不懂的啦。
