As a matter of fact, the freedom of behaving as individuals, in many cases, is not contradictory to following the tradition, i.e positive ones. Simply put, it is hard to imagine one person deliberately disrespecting others, just to flaunt individuality, and why diligence or patriotism, traditional virtues like these, cannot be used as individual labels? At the same time, preaching individuality may signify selfishness and irresponsibility. Encouraging the young to violate tradition, the propagation is a discontinuation of one's social identity, but to members of society, as inter-dependent individuals, it is an obligation to perpetuate this social identity in the community.
