当英语遇到古诗！新航道南京雅思带你了解！众所周知，在清朝的时候，有学者曾说“李杜诗篇万口传，至今已觉不新鲜。”
然而歪果仁眼里，恰恰相反。还记得有个纪录片——《杜甫：中国最 伟大的诗人》（Du Fu: China’s Greatest Poet），在这部纪录片中，由莎翁剧"专业户"、万磁王的饰演者伊恩·麦克莱恩用一口纯正的英音朗诵“诗圣”杜甫八首诗的英文译作。
片子中评价道：世上有但丁，有莎士比亚，还有杜甫。
杜甫，中国古代诗歌中与李白齐名的代表人物之一，说起杜甫，就必定和中国古代文化和文人风气有关系。如此宏大的命题，由历史学家迈克尔·伍德（Michael Wood）执导兼出镜主持人。
在片中，他沿着杜甫的人生轨迹，从巩义、西安到成都、长沙，从出生到入仕，从开元盛世到战乱流离，回溯了诗人杜甫跌宕起伏的一生，杜甫和杜诗第 一次以这样的视角给全世界呈现了一番文学盛世景象。
国宝级演员伊恩麦克莱恩（Ian McKellen）向人们娓娓道来杜甫的诗歌译作，对于喜欢英音的烤鸭们来说可以说是磨耳朵的超级福利！
麦克莱恩全程用莎剧腔重现杜甫沉郁顿挫的气韵，以58分钟时长讲述了这位中国诗人的一生。
中西方诗歌文化的差异甚大，相对于西方诗歌文学，中国古代诗歌就显得晦涩难懂，想必大家在中小学的时候都受到过被古诗文支配的恐惧。

杜甫出生于一个传统官僚家庭，但由于家族早期衰落，杜甫从小就饱读诗书，早就了早年的杜甫年轻气盛，以笔为剑、忠言进谏的性格。
"Chang'an, the city of peace. Along with Constantinople and Baghdad, it was a world city in the eighth century."
“长安，和谐之城，与君士坦丁堡和巴格达并列为八世纪的世界都市。”
唐朝的首都长安（今西安）是当时世界上规模最 大的城市，而BBC在片中称长安城为“和谐之城（the city of peace）”再合适不过了。
"Tang Government censuses suggest as many as 30 million people were displaced, killed in war or died of famine. It was as deadly as the First World War. "
“唐朝政府的人口普查显示，多达3000万人流离失所，死于战争或饥荒。它和第 一次世界大战一样致命。”
安史之乱是唐朝被称为由盛转衰的转折点，也是杜甫诗歌的分水岭，在流离的过程中，诗歌成为了杜甫唯 一的精神寄托，也在这期间写出了许多忧国忧民的悲壮诗歌。

My Brave Adventures
When I was still only in my seventh year，my mind was already full of heroic deeds. My first poem was about the Phoenix, the harbinger of a sagacious reign, a new age of wisdom.
When I was in my ninth year, I had already written enough poems to fill a satchel.
At 14, I first began to read my poems in public.The literary masters compared me to the great writers of the past.
I was temperamental and I was already overfond of wine. I needed it to soften an uncompromising hatred of wickedness and hypocrisy.I associated only with wise old grey heads.
Exhilarated by wine, we cast our glances over the entire universe and all vulgar worldliness dwindled into oblivion.
《月夜》
今夜鄜州月，闺中只独看。
遥怜小儿女，未解忆长安。
香雾云鬟湿，清辉玉臂寒。
何时倚虚幌，双照泪痕干。
Moonlit Night
The moon shines in Fuzhou tonight, In her chamber, she watches alone.
Her cloud-like hair sweet with mist, her jade arms cold in the clear moonlight.
When shall we lean in the empty window together in brightness. Our tears dried up?
《春望》
国破山河在，城春草木深。
感时花溅泪，恨别鸟惊心。
烽火连三月，家书抵万金。
The state is destroyed, but the country remains. In the city in spring, grass and weeds grow everywhere.
Grieving for the times, even the blossom sheds tears.
Beacon fires have been burning for three months now. A letter from home would be worth 10,000 in gold.
正如迈克尔·伍德在片尾说道：
”Why Du Fu still is loved by the Chinese people？”
为什么杜甫仍然深受中国人爱戴？
“But through his poetry，he did more than any emperor to help shape the nation’s values.”
在他的诗中，他比任何帝王都更多地塑造了这个国家的价值观。
