题目
Describe a time when you waited for something special that would happen?
You should say:
What you waited for?
Where you waited?
Why it was special?
And explain how you felt while you were waiting?

regret to do 对要做的事遗憾;
remember to do 记得去做某事;
remember doing 记得做过某事;

1.What you waited for
example:
Well, this topic reminds me of my trip to Northern Europe with my best friends several years ago. During the trip, one of my friend, Jing , has an yearning for aurora, so we decided to wait for it in a small town in Iceland no matter how long it would took us.
2.Where you waited
example:
Well, I’m actually living alone because of work and my hometown is 500 miles away from the place where I’m currently living.
3.Why it was special
example:
I think it was special to me because I never got to see it before, not to mention seeing it with my best friends. In fact, most people do not have the chance for a lifetime and I would probably cannot have a second chance either.
4.And explain how you felt while you were waiting
example:
We made so many quixotic wishes which never came true during the next several years, but this shared experience warms me every time I think of it.

Something special l waited for that would happen was a vaccination against the covid.
You know, there’s a pandemic prevention and control work in China, which l think is the strictest one in this world. To get back from another city to visit my grandpa in the hospital in my hometown,I was required to get vaccinated. Otherwise,there was no possibility to visit him in the ICU even if l finish my fourteen days quarantine at home.
As there was an escalating demand for the vaccine in our hometown,/ had to book an appointment with the hospital and wait for their call at home before lining there to get injected. This article is from Laokaoya website. l knew it would take at least three days for them to arrange everything and that l had no other alternatives. So, l was quite patient and knew they would pull me through.
Well l think the most important reason why the waiting was quite special was that it was probably the first time in my lifeto wait for vaccination to be allowed to visit my family. I guess that was also a once-in-a-century thing to happen.
Honestly, l felt a bit nervous while waiting for this shot because l’ ve seen some news on the Internet that vaccine recipients might have severe adverse effects. But, as l said,/ had no choice but to do it and l actually ended up having no such things.
