　　虽然之前也有讲解衣服类的话题，但它们的小问题略微还是有些不同，为此想要重新做一番讲解。

　　• And explain why the person gave it to you

　　我相信拿到此题，很多同学瞬间想到的就是别人在生日的时候送你的一件衣服。说实话，这样的回答略显老土的同时，还缺乏深意。

　　那么这个衣服该怎么挑选呢?我们从"给衣服"的动机出发：

　　动机一：Gift 礼物

　　"送礼"是最普遍的动机之一，不过我们需要再重点思考"为什么要送礼"的原因：

　　1. 表达关心

　　表面上是生日礼物，其实是因为他关心你。比如：考虑到你所在的城市太冷，或者考虑到你在毕业后需要一件西装，他就贴心的为你准备了。

　　2. 表达感谢

　　有的时候送礼，是为了"show gratitude and appreciation"。比如：我朋友送了我一件T恤，其实主要原因是为了感谢我之前帮了他个什么忙。

　　3. 拉近关系

　　我相信绝大多数人的小时候都穿过哥哥姐姐穿过的衣服。为此，"Hand-me-down" (传下来的)也很值得我们思考。这件衣服可以来自己家人也可以是朋友，至于为什么给你，可能是因为这件衣服他穿不下，也可能是因为他不喜欢这个颜色或款色，也有可能他衣服太多。

　　此小问同时也出现在《特殊的蛋糕》的第三小问。针对这个小问题，我们有两种拓展方式：

　　① 直接式

　　直接说明这个"赠予者"，接着可以按"5W2H"的维度拓展细节，包括：when/where/who/why/what/how much/ how often。也就是说，你可以进一步说明，他什么时候买的，从哪买的，和谁一起去买的，花了多少钱等。

　　除此之外，你也可以就"人"本身做适当的拓展，比如：性格等。

　　Example：

　　Actually, it was a gift from my cousin. She is a very considerate person and cares for me a lot. She usually prepares a special gift for me on big, important days. She told me that she had saved up for the gift for 6 months and that she had asked her friend who worked abroad to help her buy it from the USA.

　　② 猜测式

　　有的时候，当我们拿到东西的时候，我们并不知道究竟是谁送的。这个时候我们就会开始猜测。

　　比如：刚开始我认为可能是谁送我的，后来才发现，原来是谁送我的。之后，我们可以继续按"5W2H"进行拓展。

She is a lovely person and is really into knitting but as she has poor eyesight, my mom doesn't like her doing it. So, she made it secretly and it took her a month to finish it. 　　Example one：表达关心

　　The reason why she gave it to me was that she wanted me to have something warm as winter was just around the corner. She bought the most expensive wool and chose my favourite colour. Although now it has seen better days 破旧的, I still have it in my wardrobe and wear it on chilly days.

　　Example two：表达感激

　　She gave the clothing to me as a way to show her gratitude and appreciation. As a year ago, I had given her a hand with her work. She was really touched by what I did for her. In order to pay me back 回报, she wanted to give me something special as a present. She knew I liked it as I had posted something about it on WeChat moments a while back and she had remembered and secretly bought it for me.
