One particular teacher or as his profile says, a language trainer is Gao Ge. He teaches speaking skills at Nanjing New Channel School. His classroom is always a fun place, where he goes beyond teaching and presenting himself to us as more than a teacher but a performer, an entertainer, a paid entertainer, though not as exciting as a stripper. Well, I apologize for setting the bar too low, but you get my joke. Gao Ge is a talented impersonator, who does really brilliant impressions of celebrities on TV ads. His job is to help students with their preparation for IELTS speaking test, but he takes it further. He always puts on a performance in his class, which makes the class less stressful but more cheerful. There are no restraints that limit his talent, his passion and his playful personality. He just rolls with it. His job entails a traditional task, teaching a subject, but what distinguishes him from other boring teaching professionals is that he always takes us to places where we see what we have never seen, where we hear what we have never heard, and where we dream for a whole new world we have never been to but have an urge to experience.
