There is one thingthat I always point out and stress at the beginning of each of my IELTS writingcourses – developing writing skill is the most challenging task for learnerwriters. There is no short cut, but there is a way. My instructions willilluminate this path, and you will meet your goal if you follow me closely.

There have been manytechniques offered by my peers and these tips have been proven to be very helpful.Standing on the shoulder of my fellow New Channel teachers, I have beenreorganizing information about IELTS writing in skill development and constructinga system.

First and foremost,IELTS writing, in essence, is English writing, thus must be consistent withrelated rules, conventions, and style. It means when fostering IELTS writingskill, one, either a student or a teacher, should not expect anything specialto IELTS writing, and all knowledge should fall in writing in English. In thepractice of teaching IELTS writing, an instructor should constantly bear inmind that anything that disobeys the principles of writing in English shouldnever be taught, even if it is seemingly useful and might lead to some sort ofgood outcome. Accordingly students should not have such expectations.
