In addition, my interpretationof the marking system is that there is an overlap between TR and CC, which is theconsistency of the position. And this is where I introduce the procedure of howa Task Two – essay writing is evaluated. A reader, an examiner usually firstread four or five sentences – the sentence that gives the viewpoint in theintroduction, the two or three topic sentences of the body paragraphs,depending on how many paragraphs there are, and the sentence where theviewpoint is restated in the conclusion. It means a test taker should notemploy a linear method while constructing an essay, instead, a general-to-specificapproach should be adopted. It is to create clear visual prompts and make theessay easy to read and to fulfill the reader’s expectation.

Last but not least, Ibelieve the most ideal number of words for an IELTS essay is around 260. Itwastes little time and moderately above the bare minimum.
