　　1. commercial /kə'mɜːʃ(ə)l/

　　n.商业广告

　　e.g. TV commercial 电视广告

　　e.g. Seal has acted in over 15 films and some TV commercials.

　　e.g. I got so fed up with the commercial; It was annoying!

　　其他类型广告：

　　billboard 广告牌

　　flyer 传单

　　online advertising 网络广告

　　cold calls 推销电话

　　public service announcement (PSA) 公益广告

　　product placement 广告插入

　　pop-ups 弹窗广告

　　2.endorsement /ɪn'dɔːsm(ə)nt/

　　n. (对产品、公司的)广告宣传，代言

　　e.g. celebrity endorsement 明星代言

　　e.g. Advertisers use an assortment of tactics, such as bright colors, happy music, and celebrity endorsements to appeal to children.

　　v. endorse 为…做广告宣传

　　e.g. That brand of sneaker is endorsed by several basketball stars.

　　e.g. Some specialists frequently appear in TV advertisements to endorse products.

　　3. bombard /bɒm'bɑːd/

　　v. 不断攻击

　　搭配：be bombarded with/ by 被…持续轰炸攻击(比喻)

　　e.g. We are constantly being bombarded by ads.

　　e.g. Walk through Times Square—you're bombarded with advertising.

　　4 . exaggerate /ɪg'zædʒəreɪt/

　　v. 夸大;夸张

　　搭配：exaggerated claims 广告中夸大的陈述

　　e.g. More than three in four consumers say most of the claims that brands make in advertisements are exaggerated.

　　e.g. Advertising creates unrealistic expectations about products with exaggerated and misleading claims.

　　n. exaggeration /iɡ,zædʒə'reiʃən/

　　搭配补充：it is no exaggeration to say that …毫不夸张的说

　　e.g. It is no exaggeration to say that we are completely drowning in ads.
